Fortunately, you don’t have to be an old prospector to find Nectar 'd’Or. You can ask your favorite spirits retailer or whiskey bar to help you strike liquid gold.

A rich & rustic elixir, the Cowboy X combines X by Glenmorangie (1.5oz), some “sarsaparillee sodee” (I used @fitzsrootbeer), and a couple dashes of “orange bitterin’ agent” (I used Regan’s Orange Bitters) in an ice-filled Collins glass (or whatever period-appropriate vessel suits your fancy)

Original Old Pal
The Old Pal, the Boulevardier, and the Negroni are closely related to one another. Each is a cocktail based on equal parts of three ingredients - base spirit, vermouth, and potable bitters like Campari or Aperol.
The Old Pal uses whisky as its base, and opts for dry vermouth instead of the sweet vermouth of the Boulevardier.
